How to Delete Your Account and Data
To permanently delete your OPIC account and all associated personal data, please follow these steps:
- Open the OPIC mobile app on your device
- Navigate to Profile
- Select Account
- Tap on Delete My Data
- Confirm your deletion to complete the process
⚠️ This action takes effect immediately and cannot be undone.
What Information Will Be Deleted
When you request account deletion, we will permanently remove the following information:
- Your profile information (name, email, photos, preferences)
- Account credentials and authentication data
- Event history and interactions
- Saved favorites and preferences
- Communication history within the app
- Location and usage data
Important: Deletion is instant and irreversible. Make sure you have downloaded any information you want to keep before proceeding.
What Happens When You Delete
When you confirm deletion:
- Your account is immediately deactivated and you will be logged out
- Your profile and data are permanently removed from our active systems
- You will no longer be able to log in or access any of your information
- Backup copies will be automatically purged within 90 days
Data Retention Exceptions
Certain information may be retained for limited periods when required by law or for legitimate business purposes:
- Transaction records for accounting and tax compliance
- Information required for legal proceedings or investigations
- Anonymized data used for analytics and service improvement
- Backup copies during our standard backup retention period (up to 90 days)
